Have a Go Oval

There are lots of activities already booked in for the ever popular Have a Go Oval. Major sponsor is Eltham Leisure Centre and Community Sponsor is Eltham Wildcats.


  • Lots of fun races for everyone at the Rotary Races. Races held on the hour at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm – there are loads of prizes to be won, donated by Skaterz, Rare Bears, McDonalds, Apteds, and Bakers Delight.
  • Visit the Wildcats’ displays for lots of basketball action
  • Have a go at Kids Yoga with My Serenity Yoga
  • Join Little Sports Heroes for lots of throwing games
  • Give Hot Shots tennis a go
  • Enjoy a game of cricket (near the pavilion)
  • Have a go at activities provided by Eltham Lacrosse Club
  • Try AFL with handball and goal kicking for boys and girls with Research Junior Football Club
  • Join in a Karate workshops
  • Come and join in the free soccer clinic provided by All Star Academy on Sunday and visit their stall in Alistair Knox Park on both Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November
  • Run across a rope bridge or fly into the sky on a giant swing, try your hand at archery and crate stacking (find these activities provided by the District Scouting Group at the bottom of Panther Place near the trestle bridge. For more scouting fun, have a go at abseiling on the oval. Visit North Eltham Scouts on the oval for a game of mini golf or to have your face painted.)
  • Enjoy the annual Tug of War competition – so far 4 teams have registered – Eltham CFA, Eltham SES, District Scouts and Rotary. Eltham CFA are the reigning Temby Trophy holders!

Eltham SES Jaws of Life demo
The annual Jaws of Life demonstrations will take place at 11am and 2pm at the bottom of Panther Place near the trestle bridge.

11am – 3pm  – North Eltham Scouts (near mini golf)
Community Stage
10am to 4pm
Come and enjoy all the fun of the Community Stage which showcases the musical, vocal and dance talents of our local schools and clubs. Sponsored by Eltham College
