Rotary Eltham Town Festival!
Take your time to explore the website and then plan to join some 20,000 of your new best friends at this year’s Festival which this year will be held on November 12 and 13.
Since 2001 it has been organised by the Rotary Club of Eltham whose members plan and manage the event for the benefit of the local community.
The Rotary Club set a set a number of objectives to be kept front of mind in planning the event;
- To provide an opportunity for the local community to come together and enjoy the facilities offered within the Eltham township.
- To take the opportunity to raise money for local and not so local communities, individuals, or services in need.
- To showcase “Rotary” as a service club and demonstrate its capabilities.
- To exhibit the wealth of local expertise in the areas of art, entertainment, food and wine.
Community groups and local businesses have always been an integral part of the Rotary Eltham Town Festival since it provides a unique opportunity for each of them to promote their activities and services to their local community.
In common with the last few years, most activities will take place on Alistair Knox Park and Panther Place although on Saturday afternoon, the Eltham Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host entertainment for younger folk and the final of the Eltham Junior Idol Competition in the Eltham Town Square.
Alistair Knox Park and Panther Place has, on Saturday evening and all day Sunday until 5.00pm, a huge array of entertainment, stallholders, community groups, local businesses, activities and artisans.
Highlights this year will be the firework display provided on Saturday evening by Advanced Fireworks Australia Pty Ltd. and the return of the final of the Eltham Senior Idol Competition on Sunday afternoon.
The program for the Festival is detailed fully within this website so, take your time and soak up the information. Whether you are a stallholder, an entertainer, exhibitor or visitor you are sure to find what you are looking for.
The Rotary Eltham Town Festival website is new. We have tried to make it as intuitive as possible so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
